Exporting with transparent background

Hello, I’m experimenting myself.

I want to know how to export the moving image with transparent background.

After I finished exporting, I import mov file into After Effect. The moving image has it’s own background. I just only one that moving image with transparent background.

please help me.

Just a little bit more information would be hopeful: export format? what kind of animation? Perhaps post a capture of your project.

Hey @JABRSTTR,

perhaps my answer here helps you:

Hi, I’m exporting to MPEG4 (PART 2) format. I input mov file to Movie file in TOP and then tried to export with Movie file out Top.
English is not my first language, sorry but I’m trying my best to explain this…

If you want to use transparency with moving images from After Effect, you have tu use a codec accepting alpha layer and choosing RGB + A in export settings
The main codec with alpha accepted in TD are Animation, Hap alpha and NotchLC.
For NotchLC and Hap, you have to install some extensions.
You can also export from AE to proRes 4444 and then convert it to Hap with Shutter Encoder or NotchLC with Adobe Media Encoder.
You can also use images sequence, as .exr or .png but its quite heavy.
