I just went to load my Liveset project from this past summer today on the newest build and found numerous exports are not correct. At first I was using build 16720 then I reverted back to 16410 and found that both builds are not recalling exports correctly from a project created in build 14300. I’m hoping that it is possible to fix this without me having to go back and re-export all the chops (its a lot of exports). I think I remember this happening in the past and it was easily fixed.
One thing we found was that the OSC In CHOPs were no longer
loading up their last received channels, so they were starting up blank in these later builds.
This will be fixed in the next build.
I think this is the issue that you were seeing. I couldn’t see any broken exports per se.
Until the next build comes out I can manually repair your toe file if that helps.
Thanks Rob, if its not too much hassle I would appreciate it. When you say manually repair do mean to open the file and change all the wrong exports, or do you have an easier way. I wouldn’t want to waste your time but if you have a way that would be lot faster than I can do that would be great.
Hi Keith.
I have some internal tools to change the actual file.
Ive attached a copy here (note it still has the same name).
This will only work on the later builds. It won’t work on 14300.
Let me know if this works.
Note, it wasn’t the export paths. It was all the OSC In CHOPs not preserving their
last captured channels.
In this project I had started to use datto chops with a table of all the channels fed into a replace chop so I wouldn’t have any more problems if an OSC chop lost all its channels. I did just notice though that I didn’t change one of the select dat’s that got its table from the OSC chop into a Table Dat. I used this technique to store all the channels from an OSC chop quickly.
Since I missed that the table was empty when the OSC chop had no channels. That also explains why I was only having problems with only one of the containers (GeoAll) exports.
Oh okay. Thats probably a safer work around in general, as Im not positive
all the external input CHOPs save their channels.
Glad its working at any rate.
Cheers
Rob
