Failure to understand SOP colour information into a network

I have been trying to get my animated Almebic SOP colour information into this network for hours.

You can see in the .toe I attached there is a texture file for the sphere but I can’t get it into the network FX colour.

I have had success when take a .OBJ (With UV mapped Colour texture Information) …Convert to a ,PLY and the ,PLY carries the information into the TD network.

To make things more interactive and fun I found a way to convert the Alembic to SOP, and I wonder why I can’t bring in texture information.

Hi @Yarddog,

not sure i fully understand the question. Is it about accessing the color attributes from a Alembic SOP? As long as the Direct to GPU parameter on the Alembic SOP is not turned on, this should be possible via a SOP To CHOP.
