FBX import & camera animation

Hello,

I’ve been toying with a project where i make camera tracking in Blender, then the idea is to bring that scene as an .fbx to Touch and continue from there. Today i tried some different methods and noticed that fxb 7 is not importing any camera animation curves, and while fbx 6 does, the frames are not matching. What could i do to make this work better?

Could you post example files that we can take a look at?

I sure can. Hmm. Guess i need to post the background image sequence, Blender -file and the Touch project? EDIT: Got it! I’ll send the imported .fxb composited with a .mov export from Blender. The original image sequence was a bit large.
Mmake_CameraTracking.zip (1.35 MB)

I still cant get the imported fbx animation to match the frames generated in Blender. I’m trying to think if it’s something like umm Touch makes an extra interpolation to my camera animation? (doesn’t make any sense i know).

I am trying to achieve a workflow, where i do a camera tracking in Blender, bring the camera animation to Touch as a .fbx, and then do 3D stuff and effects in Touch. This doesn’t work because the camera animation in Touch is not matching the background video anymore.

I dont have Blender handy but I’d recommend checking the playback rates of the movie and animations in TouchDesigner. Since TouchDesigner plays back at 60fps by default, the animation may be playing back at 60fps while the movie is respecting real-world time regardless of if its a 30fps movie or 24fps movie for example. You can control the playback rates of both the animation and movie to change whichever one is out of sync.

I dont think it’s that. The animation in Blender is 30fps, and tht’s what i use in the Touch network and the movie in TOP for the background image sequence.
