finding a string in a DAT

How can I sort thru every cell of a DAT looking for a particular string ?

Depends what you want to do with it?

If you want to substitute it with another value, you can use the Substitute DAT
Other DATs perform other per-cell functions.
Barring that you can always use the Script DAT.
Examples can be found in Samples/Python/PythonExamples.toe of your installation folder.
From there the skys the limit.
