if you merge a text DAT with a table DAT in “Append Columns” mode, it will append rows instead unless you first convert your text dat to a table. I don’t think this is right, as it’s very intuitive and userfriendly to consider a text DAT at all effects (for the most part, it is) a 1x1 table dat
