I enabled “blend between sources” in the Switch POP. After fiddling with the “length mismatch” parameter, one of the two AlembicIn POPs froze. When I tried to bypass it, TD crashed:
I wasn’t able to reproduce the crash again. Though, when I tried to reproduce the steps, I got both AlembicIn POPs to freeze the animation (even manually changing the Time parameter doesn’t do anything).
I’m attaching an example .toe with the two alembic files I’ve used. I don’t know if maybe it’s those two causing the problem (i.e. maybe my alembics are corrupt).
Let me know if I can do anything else on my end to help debug.
Thanks for the example. I’m able to reproduce the behavior by setting Length Mismatch to “Error” on the Switch POP, which then permanently stops the inputs from cooking even after changing back to Warning or Ignore. The bug is on the Switch POP side, as this behavior is reproducible with any animated input. We’ll take a look into it.
The Switch POP bug will be fixed in the next official build we release: 2025.31880+. I think this bug is likely also related to the initial crash, so I will mark this as resolved for now, but feel free to reopen if you experience the crash again. Thanks for the report.
