I’m on Windows 11 TD version 16270. I have a .toe that stopped working when I upgraded to Windows 11. This error pops up on load “Error loading network project1/audioAnalysis/pressrunCentroid/. File may be truncated.” The project opens but looks weird and crashes immediately. The crash autosave gets saved as an empty file. My most recent back up works fine though a lot of changes have been lost so I’d love to get access to the newer one. Anyone have some insight? ResplyFix.20210905.26.toe (320 KB)
Hey @tynanhumphrey
Odd one. Sounds like something went wrong the last time the file was saved.
One of our developers is looking into it.
Best,
Michel
Hi, definitely something weird.
File does appear to be truncated.
Couldn’t find anything after the node you mentioned.
In terms of crashing on startup, can you rename that file manually (not the crashed result) to CrashAutoSave.toe and launch that?
Still locking up on startup with the CrashAutoSave name, but slightly earlier now, at 99% on the launcher window. Thanks for getting back to me!
If you disconnect your internet, are you able to start up your toe file?
The reason is, it’s crashing on a Socket IO DAT with a missing callback DAT.
If the DAT doesn’t connect, it won’t crash. Once it starts, you can then disable that SocketIO DAT and re-save.
I’ve since fixed that problem for the next official build.
I’m also having some issues with a graphics issue, I haven’t resolved yet.
Thanks.
Official 2021.16410 is now available for download with fix for the crash.
2023.11600 Every project is becoming truncated, happening when opening a file resaving then opening. The original file seems to be written over and the save does not actually have anything in it.
Hi @Thaxter
Can you try reinstalling Touch and using the latest version, 2023.12000 ?
We had no reports of this issue until now with this branch and its used widely.
