FIXED: Crash with floating viewer

I’m encountering a bug which only seems to show up and crash TD when I have a floating viewer open.

I’m not exactly sure what’s triggering it. It seems to show up whenever I have an floating view open and go up or down a level, and occasionally whenever I try and close out of the floating viewer.

This showed up with version 24410 and 25000.

Windows 10 Pro x64 for Workstations
Intel i7-7700K
32 GB DDR4
Quadro P6000
TD Commercial Build 2018.25000
TouchDesignerCrash099.x64.2018.25000.4.dmp (165 KB)
TouchDesignerCrash099.x64.2018.25000.5.dmp (168 KB)
TUIO Input.toe (4.74 KB)

Thanks for the report, we will look into the .dmp files.

This will be fixed in the next posted build. (2018.25770+)

I am also experiencing this problem even though I have the most recent build from August 2019. Every time I go to open a separate floating viewer, my computer freezes and I have to quit TD. Sometimes it whites out the entire screen as well. When I check the Task Manager nothing seems to be overloaded and this happens even when TD is the only program running.

Hi Sager

Can you check that you have installed the latest drivers for your graphics card?

If a driver update does not fix your issue. Then please check if you get this issue with the default TD file or with particular projects. If it is only happening for particular files, please post your .toe or send it to
