FIXED:Force VST into Non Instrument Mode (Serum 2 FX)

Serum2.vst3 bundles two modes, an Instrument mode and an FX mode for processing incoming audio, and both are contained within the same .vst3 file, but the AudioVST CHOP doesn’t seem to be able to choose between them.

I’m loading Serum 2 (VST3) into TouchDesigner with the Audio VST CHOP, but it always initializes as an instrument. In the Info DAT, “Is Instrument” is set to 1, and I can’t add any AUX inputs even with a Custom Buss layout.

I’m trying to force TouchDesigner to load it so that “Is Instrument” is false, allowing it to receive audio input and function as an effect.

Is there any way to override this on initialization, such as through a callback DAT?

Any pointers would be amazing.

By the looks of it, we’re always using the default mode of the plugin, which for most plugins has been okay because they have only one.

I’ll add a drop-down menu to the Audio VST CHOP that allows you to select between the available modes. Thanks for the report.

Thanks! that’d be amazing

The Mode parameter addition on the Audio VST CHOP will be in the next build we release: 2025.31600+.
