When dragging a Render TOP on the Render Pick DAT parameter OP the software crashes.
Some participants experienced this crash during our online class at the Node Institute, I do not have a Mac so I cannot replicate the bug.
But we know that this crash doesn’t occur on 2023 builds as one of the participant tried to recreate the same action on previous build 2023 and it was working fine.
This might be another case where we need the setup. It does not crash on a simple scene. Thank you for the report though.
Hi Selina, I reached out to one of the participant who had this bug.
He told me that the bug happens only using the build# 2025.32820
Just placing the Rende Pick DAT in the Network Editor it freezes the software forever, without crashing.
Using the build#2025.33070 this bug does not occur

We fixed a bug in the Render Pick DAT (and Render Pick CHOP) in 33070 for a hang that could occur from parameters instantiating incorrectly. Since the bug doesn’t occur in 33070, the fix likely solved the participant’s issue. We’ll mark this as complete, but please let us know if any further issues arise in the Render Pick nodes.
