in a Video Device In TOP when you select “Point Grey / FLIR (Spinnaker)” as a library it crashes Touchdesigner. This only happens when the Spinnaker SDK is not installed. After installing the Spinnaker SDK this problem is gone.
I think it should detect if the Spinnaker SDK is installed and if not it should display an error on the Video Device In TOP similar to what it does when the Blackmagic driver is not installed.
@malcom: Great. Thank you!
I noticed another related issue. When the camera is used in the SpinView app (the Flir application where you can change settings of the camera) and you activate the camera in TD it also crashes the TD process.
I’m actually not able to reproduce that crash. On my system TD just takes over control of the camera. Maybe the update I just did fixes that crash too.
Okay great. Thanks for the work!
Looking forward to testing the changes.
On my machine with TD 2020.26630 I can reproduce the bug, but as you said maybe your changes fixed this as well. Here is a video demonstrating the bug:
TD uses the camera => trying to activate in spinview yields an error message in spinview
spinview uses the camera => trying to activate in TD makes the TD process crash
