I have some notes in live that are triggering different effects inside of TD. I would love to be able to click that realtime off button and get a solid render, but the timeline inside of live keeps marching on resulting in a wierd recording.
Im sure its a lot to ask, but it would be great to lock TDs framerates and ableton live’s clock together, I could hit the realtime button off and still have the frames sync up with the incoming messages.
The best way around this is probably to centralize all of the communication from Ableton to TouchDesigner in one place and record that with Record CHOPs or other DATs if necessary. While “recording” it, you should also live-perform it at a low resolution that has no frame drops. Save the audio to a file. Then in TouchDesigner playback the record CHOPs in non-realtime mode and render the video at the desired resolution with the audio file.
