Fullscreen Perform mode without window bar and...

Hello everyone!

I’m a new one to TD, just touching around 2 months. I use TD for my audio-visual performance, it’s an amazing real-time software!

Here I have some question:

  1. How to setup the Perform Mode with fullscreen with the windows bar?
  2. How to show both rendered visual and whole operator nodes in Perform Mode? (like alva noto’s performance in mutek)

Thanks!

Hey,

If you go to the top of your project, you’ll find a Window COMP called “perform”. In it’s parameters is a Borders setting you can switch on and off.

Not sure what you mean in 2nd question. Did you want to have perform and editor mode running at the same time? If so, sounds like you might want to just make your own Window COMPs, and just use their settings to have them become full screen on a certain monitor, while keeping your network editing view on your own monitor.

Hey elburz,

Thanks for the reply.
Q1 was solved.

About the 2nd question. Yes, just like you say.
But I would like to show the final visual and network editing view on same monitor(projection).
And below were the image and video for example:

Hello Dat1981,

Presently the only way to show both rendered visuals and network editor in Perform Mode is to use the Screengrab TOP which is a kind of screen recorder.

That said, i’m not sure that this is what was used in the visuals that you’re showing.

Perhaps it was just a computer screen projected directly as it is, and showing the network editor into a fullscreen pane. (network editor + operator rendered into the background with the display flag on).

I’ve try screengrab, but the FPS getting lower and lower.

Anyway, thanks for the reply

If you want to show both network and projections on the same screen, is there any reason you want to jump into perform mode? From what I understand the only advantage to perform mode was that you didn’t need to render all the things going on in the network editor. So might be redundant to go into perform mode and have something making your network editor visible.

Didn’t have a chance to check out those links though, so I could be wrong in my understanding of what you’re wanting.

Yeah, one of the reason is what you mention. The other is I don’t know how to hide menu bar and windows bar. Maybe I’ll not use perform mode.
Anyway, thanks.
