Gaussian Splatting
thank you!
um for some reason i cant get it to work
Bummer Polycam has locked splat ply files behind their Pro paywall now, just tried it today and can no longer download like I could on March 4 when this was posted.
@maxg50 I can confirm it works on Windows w/Nvidia GPU but not on macOS, what sort of system are you trying to run it on?
Crazy! Thanks a lot for the .tox.
For some reasons, we can not find how to render the blue channel.
We did the .ply through scaniverse. When we import the model, the calculate colors tell us that there is 17 samplers, and GPU only support 16. We tried to disconnect one of the PointFileSelect_Rest, the texture come back, but for some reason there is no blue channel. Any idea of what we should change?
Working on a M2 MBpro…
Same problem. working on M2 MBpro
Same issue with MacStudio (M1 Max)
Hey! I have been trying to figure out how to work with Gaussian Splats in a Dome Setup. The regular Cube Map rendering > projection top doesnt work since the splats are beeing calculated from the cameras viewing direction (correct? )
I have managed to use the 180 Fisheye in the render but I couldnt figure out how to get the fisheye 360 projection.
I’ve got the same issue running on my MacBookPro M1 Max. Scanned through Scaniverse. Has anyone found a fix for this on Apple Silicone yet? Thanks so much for your help And huge thanks to the OP for creating and sharing this!
Same issue of no blue channel on silicon. Runs very well otherwise.
Could this technique take advantage of the new POPs for even better performance?
