In looking for alternatives to MentalMill for GLSL shader creation on the wiki for shaders found a link to AMD’s Render monkey, a powerful free tool for shader creation.
Was wondering if anyone has used this application for getting shaders into TD. The only option for shader export I can find is via a COLLADA format export, which exports all the object geometry as well.
I’m not sure if Collada files actually come with the shaders you want when you export it out of there. But, that render monkey toolkit is a pretty stellar resource for a lot of GLSL shader code. From what I can tell it’s all there waiting for you to just copy paste the code out of the vertex and fragment shaders and bring it into GLSL materials in touch! You will need to get a bit into GLSL though, and how touch sets them up…
You wont get much that just works out of the box, because every 3D environment sets its scenes up differently, so there’s always porting to be done…
