GPU USAGE TO 90+% when opening

When opening TD I noticed that my GPU utilization spikes to over 90%. Pausing will provide a momentary drop in usage, but then it spikes back up. I have no perfromance issues with other applications. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

CPU: i9-13900k
GPU: RTX 3090
Mobo: Asus ProArt Creater Z6790

Hey I am having a similar issue. Opening a blank project sends GPU to 80% utilization. Leaving the blank project open for an hour drops it to about 75%.
