Grain, geometry, particel sorting, loops, refractions

Hi there!

I am trying to enter the world of GLSL.

I already managed these two tutorials:

but I am very interested and wondering, how Alex Guevara, Leovann and others work with these grain/distorted and sometimes lightreflecting setups → please check the two links as reference:

My guess for the second one is a grid/plane/box transformed to particles and manipulated with GLSL. light refracting materials etc?
feedbacklooping, pixelsorting, …

Maybe you have some example .tox or tutorial suggestions for creating similar stuff.
