h.265

We’ve been experimenting with the h.265 codec. Seems like good compression and ridiculously low file sizes. Wont open in TD though, is this coming?

This should be supported in the experimental releases. Let me know if you have files that don’t work.
The low file sizes likely mean the CPU usage will be quite high for these, reducing the number of layers you will be able to play vs. H264 and HAP

Thanks Malcolm, yes I imagined that would be the case. I thought h.265 would be useful for online transfer for later HapQ encoding if nothing else as resolution is huge.
