It seems like this font uses different glyphs depending on next / previous characters and TD doesn’t take this into account. Its not a big problem, just something I have noticed and wanted to ask about. Please do you think there might be a way to support such non-standard font in TD, or would it cause too much trouble? Yeah, I can confirm the issue in the Text COMP. I think its an issue with how cursive joining is handled by the font library, but I’m still looking into it.
I just heard back from the developer of our font library and apparently the features required for that font are not currently available. The library does support cursive joining for languages like arabic which require it, but apparently this font uses a different method. He says they may add it in the future, but they don’t currently have a timeline for that.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention. It may be overkill, but maybe you could use the WebRender TOP if you want to get that styling into touch?
