HD Camera

I have a Panasonic HPX 170 camera attached via firewire to my computer. Drivers for MS DirectShow are installed. I am able to view the camera in other applications, but not in TouchDesigner.

In TouchDesigner88, I have tried the ‘Video Device In’ with DirectShow and Media Foundation. In each, there is a selection for the camera, but both end up with a ‘Cannot connect to device’ in the component.

Would this be known occurrence, or a bug, or something not supported?

DirectShow would be the correct setting to use since the camera supports DirectShow. It should work automatically, however TouchDesigner will not be able to recognize the camera if you have already started using the device in another application. So, if you don’t test it with another application and try TouchDesigner right after a reboot, does it connect then?
