[Help]How to blend serval projector?

Hi,
I am learning about the edge blend through the tutalial named “Introduction to touchdesigner.pdf”,but I can’t find the container named edgeBlend which was mention in the pdf.
I’m using the version of touchdesigner is 088 .
Could you tell me how can I find the container of edgeBlend .And there is other new way to blend serval projectors ?

Thanks very much for any help.

Hi,
I’m studying the projector mapping using Touch Designer, may I know how to blend serval projector?

Thanks very much for any help.

Hey,

there are several approaches to this. In the Palette you can find 2 components which can help with this:
Under Tools you can find the projectorBlend Component which can blend multiple projectors that are aligned in a grid.

Another component which allows for blending is camSchnappr. This is used in case you are projection mapping onto a physical structure which you have the model for. As you would calibrate the camera for multiple projectors, camSchnappr will output a blend mask which you can apply onto each output. There is more information on camSchnappr here:
derivative.ca/wiki088/index. … mSchnapper

Also currently if you are running TouchDesigner with a Pro License, you will be able to find the Scalable Displays TOP. More info here: derivative.ca/wiki088/index. … e_Displays

Cheers
Markus

The edgeBlend is in the palette. (maybe the name has changed since I wrote the tutorial). To get to palette you can either use Alt + L, or in the top menu, go to dialogues, and you will see Palette in there. Then you go to tools and you can find it.

Hi Elburz.
Thanks very much for help  .I have found it in the palette, which named projectorBlend.

Hi Snaut,
thanks a lot for your help.I have found it in the palette, which named projectorBlend. And try to use it last weekend.I will try the CamSchnapper this week.By the way ,May I know which is better between the CamSchnapper and the Scalable Displays TOP? Becase I haven’t bought the Pro License yet.

The Scalable solution is super powerful but you’'ll need a $$$ licence from Scalable Displays.

Does anyone mind outlining the pros and cons of using Scalable Display vs Vioso? Looking into using either for a large semi permanent multi-projector setup that needs some auto-calibration as well as significant blending.

I was leaning towards Vioso for a few reasons, cost being one of them, but would love to hear what people think.

Thanks!
