Help with audio switching on intensity

Hi,
apologies for this simple question. I want to swtich sops based on the intensity of music. I’ve come across from vjo and the audio controller provided presets for amplitude and frequency in the one place but I’m finding hard to say; if the gain goes above this then switch.
I’ve attached an attempt to do it using ‘attack’ within the trigger chop but it’s not really matching the music.
I have fiddled with the tutorials and can filter out frequencies but not trigger based on gain above a level. All help gratefully and humbly accepted.

The Envelope CHOP may do the trick.

Many thanks for the comment. This is what I have so far which I’m very happy will. However I would prefer to make the transitions move / contract with the varying amplitude to make the text look like it’s reacting to the intensity rather than the beat (as per the attached). - Ian

If you can add the envelop in to show me what you mean it would be appreciated.
