hopefully easy RFE: select CHOP to ...

Almost got a solution for this problem viewtopic.php?f=4&t=348&p=1098&hilit=state#p955 . I can use a multi-select CHOP to monitor if a component of a certain “type” is created, renamed, rewired, deleted. And then I can use the selected channels(names) to gather the connection/wire information with some eval DATs. Can post example if you want. Seems to work great, but there’s one tiny piece missing.

Currently, when multi-selecting, the select CHOP only prepends the opname of each selected CHOP + the opname of that CHOP’s parent container to the selected channel names. So I’d like to request an option for the select CHOP, which will prepend the fullpath to the selected CHOP. In case this is something which can be done quickly, would it be possible to maybe get this implemented in the near future? It would really help as I didn’t find any other solution to above linked problem and am running out of ideas :unamused:

Thanks!

I figured out a workaround, so this isn’t very important anymore. Instead It would be great if the age-old RFE for multi-input in ops for components could get a priority bump (opened another topic for this one here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=558)

Also, this seems more to be a bug than a RFE, maybe someone can move it to the bugs forum.
As currently only the selected parent’s name is prepended, you can get multiple channels with the same name, as shown in attached example
