how to calculate / display FPS frames per second in Text TOP

Hello there,

$FPS (tscript) and root.time.rate (python) shows a constant 60.0

I want to display the current FPS (the same in the topbar of editor view) in a text TOP.

Is there a variable for the current FPS or a method for this calculation?

Sorry, I could not find in the wiki neither in the forum
