How to create this kind of texts?


How would I approach something like this in TD? Would this work with the Text Top with GLSL or would this be possible with a Text SOP?

Here I used a ramp to set the general colors, then used an edge and a blur to a composite (soft light) to round off the edges and give that embossed effect. Changing the edge and blur parameters modify the roundedness. Experiment with the various overlay modes to learn the different effects.

Thanks this looks great… did not think about using a ramp for this as I was experimenting with gold image and then composite over the text. Will indeed have to to some more experimenting with this, thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Appreciate your quick feedback!
