How to find the midpoint of an object in an image?
Sorry this should be a forum post, not a blog article. I’ll remove that.
One answer: if the background is constant, you can send you shape image to a Trace SOP (high step size to make it fast), then a Box SOP, scale it to 0, then SOP to CHOP, or better op(‘box1’).center[0] etc.

thank you Greg, will now onwards post on forum. A follow up question now, that I have found the midpoint, how can I scale the object with reference to its midpoint as scale in TOPs is applied to origin of image and not the object.
