I am trying to send a value in a MATH chop into the index parameter of a DATA TO chop, what is going wrong here?

Maybe that seems like a silly question. Here is the problem in an image below, surely this DATA TO chop should be updating with the new value whenever the MATH chop changes? I have other nodes in the project with index values that change when they should…
