ik have a mesh in cinema with a color material. i see the imported material in TD but didnt took the color with it…am i overlooking something ?

Are you talking about a constant color? Or a texture?
FBX won’t translate things that are “native” in a given app, i.e the materials in C4d. If you want to have the color come through, you’ll have to create a texture with that color (you can easily do this in C4d with BodyPaint) and bring that in instead.

I just noticed that an imported fbx, generated in c4d,
is still losing the correct material (I mean the color, not texture).
and it just look like a grey material.
Importing a 3ds file of the same model (but without any animation)
works fine with materials.
Now I have a complex scene
and I would need the animation from th fbx,
and the correct material assignement as the 3ds cause I can’t manually re assign every materials,
and even with scripting it’s tricky.
Is there a correct way to do that?
