Infrared light motion tracking (not Kinect)

Hello,

I am trying to find a good infrared LED light source to mount onto instruments/people to do motion tracking via the blob track top and an infrared camera. It’s difficult to find a light source that is the right intensity/size and can be consistently picked up by the blob track top.

Does anyone have experience with making their own infrared light and can offer any advice?
