My 16 inch Intel macbook pro can’t open the Experimental 2025.30060 version,Insufficient system memory.
ok,it’s Mackbook pro(16-inch,2019),.2.6Hz Intel Core i7,16GB 2667 DDR4,AMD Radeon Pro 5300M(4GB VRAM). MaOS Monterey 12.7.4.
I’m having issues on Mac OS too. Info attached in images.
Long and short; after install and initial launch, the program crashes with a fatal error (see image and crash report).
When trying to open after this crash, it hangs on the launch page with a timer saying "preparing to run start script’ and does not pass this point (held out for 10 mins but nothing)
Will post one image at a time due to forum limitations
Could you send us this full crash report? Go into the Console application and under “Crash Reports” look for files named TouchDesigner…
Can’t seem to add that file type (.ips) due to forum permissions, Ben. I can copy paste info or if there’s a better way, please advise.

Hope this zip works! Crash inside

@zola21 could you update at least to macOS 12.7.6 and try again?
Are you launching to an empty file/the default project, or trying to open a particular file?
What error do you see that tells you it’s running out of system memory?
Is a crash report generated (in /Applications/Utilities/Console, in the Crash Reports section)? If so, please zip and attach it here (or mail it to support@derivative.ca and link this forum thread).
Thanks - Tom
@theboytheycalljonny are you seeing this launching to the default/empty project, or opening a specific file?
Sorry that’s not an option as I’m in the middle of multiple projects.
Hey. I’m literally clicking on the application to open it, however this is as far as the application gets (I’m not trying to open any specific project, jiterally trying to launch the application via applications window).
See above for full crash report. Need anything else?
@theboytheycalljonny thanks.
Could you look in the Console app (in /Applications/Utilities) and see if there are any reports from TouchDesigner under the Spin Dumps section (not Crash Reports).
If not, please open TouchDesigner and wait for it to get stuck, then open Activity Monitor (also in /Applications/Utilities), select TouchDesigner and then click on the three dots in the toolbar and select Spindump, then attach the resulting report. This will show us what’s going on when TouchDesigner is hanging.
Thanks for your help.
@bangnoise. Nothing in the console app, so generated spindump as requested (attached)

Thanks for the files. We’ve managed to reproduce the issue and hopefully will have a fix soon.
