Issue w/ Importing Geometry Maps

Hi all,

Following along with Scott Pagano’s TD LinkedIn Learning tutorial and this is the first I’ve worked with custom geometry in TD, but for some reason the maps that I’m importing don’t seem to be recognized correctly by the FBX? Also, I was only able to drag and drop the FBX into the network, whereas Scott imports it from the drop down menu. Is this just a recent change to Touch or am I missing something. Thanks!

TouchDesigner has had a complete overhaul of FBX since those tutorials by Scott. When I use File > Import it works for me here, but you need to look in the location it imports it too which by default is root “/” unless you specify a different network location. Then you need to click the ‘Import’ button on the FBX COMP once. We will look into why that step is required.

Can you attach the example FBX file you are using so we can check why the textures are not working? Thanks

Hi @ben I unfortunately deleted the file I was working with for other reasons and started from the next step of Scott’s example files. Apologies about that.
