Issue with LFO Reset Behavior in TouchDesigner

My name is Steven Kübler (artist: perspek.steven)
I’m encountering an issue in TouchDesigner and would appreciate your help.

When I open an LFO and pause the timeline (so TouchDesigner is not running), then press the Pulse button to reset the LFO to 0, it doesn’t fully reset — instead, it resets to 0.1045.
If I press the Reset switch, it correctly resets to 0, but once I release the Reset switch, the value immediately returns to 0.1045.

I’ve never experienced this behavior before. I also tested it with older TouchDesigner versions installed on my laptop, and the issue persists there as well.
Could this be a laptop-specific issue? Have you encountered this behavior before?

Or is it showing frame 1?

Thank you very much for your support!

Hi @perspek.steven,

welcome to the community.

when releasing the Reset parameter, the LFO cooks once resulting in the value you are seeing. The value depends on the frequency set.
When pulsing the Reset, it does reset properly but then cooks twice resulting again in the same value. We’ll check why it cooks twice in this case.

cheers
Markus

Hi Markus, could it have to do with the pulse par behaviour which makes it pulse on UP? I had brought this up some time ago with Ivan but can’t seem to find the thread for it…
