Hi there, I’m using a Gamesir controller, which works perfectly on my Macbook Pro, but the Joystick CHOP doesn’t get any data input.
The controller works perfectly with online testing tools like Hardware Tester — all axes, buttons, and triggers register input correctly.
The system recognizes the device and connects it without issues (both via USB and Bluetooth).
It shows up in macOS system settings and is clearly working at the OS level. It is also recognized in the Joystick CHOP.
In Hardware Tester, it appears as Player 3, not Player 1. I’m not sure if this matters, but it seems unusual.
I’ve tried:
- Selecting different sources in the Joystick CHOP
- Increasing the button and axis ranges
- Restarting TD after plugging in the controller
- Adjusting axis scaling and other parameters
Despite all this, Joystick CHOP shows no data at all — no values, no button activity, nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Pd. I’m using MBP2023 with Sonoma OS and two different versions of TD, 2022 and 2025
