Just Installed, but extreme slow performance...

Hello,
I have just installed TC at a decent dell dual 2.8Ghz 8Gb windows 64 ultimate. The program starts but it hangs every time I try to do a simple operation, even check the head menu!
The processor works ~18% and my memory is down to 30%. What can possible go wrong??

Hello, I am using Nvidia drivers v 3.9.760.0

Can you middle click on your desktop and go to the Nvidia control panel, and say what the driver version is in there?
When was the last time you upgraded them?
