Kinect CHOP sensor data flickering on/off

Hey everyone,

I’ve recently acquired an Azure Kinect and using it for the first time in TD. One thing I’ve noticed is that the CHOP is constantly losing its signal (every couple of seconds) and the data is consequently flickering a lot. Opening the Body Tracker Viewer app, the underlying skeleton seems stable and isn’t showing any signs of losing or flickering its position. I’ve attached a video here to show the issue.

I’m wondering, might this be something on the TD side (as far as I know I’m using the most recent SDKs available and the latest TD update), the sign of a faulty sensor, or is this just how the Kinect sometimes behaves?

Thanks so much!

I’ve experienced the same issue with a Orbecc camera. The Kinect Azure CHOP loose informations for the 1st and the 2nd player over and over. No solution right now. I’m wondering as well if this is its normal behaviour, or it is a TD bug

Thanks for the reply – it does seem like a similar issue with the continuous flickering as you’re experiencing. I’ve tried all the changes/fixes in this thread but nothing seems to be resolving the instability. Have you had any more luck?

One thing I’ve noticed is that the Kinect CHOP info displays that the SDK installed is 1.4.0_643845 rather than 1.4.2 which is what I’ve actually installed. Not sure if this could be contributing?
