Hello! I have Kinect 2 sensor and I’m sure that everybody who used it knows that it’s skeleton recognition system has some limitations. For instance if I want to put the sensor on the ceiling perpendicular to the table at which people are sitting. Hence their bodies are partially obscured and the sensor sees people from the top, not from the front. I want to trigger events when people are within sensor’s view area. I tested my setup and skeleton tracking didn’t work so I suppose I need to make some human detection system using other methods. I’ve googled my question but I always encountered “Motion detection system with Touchdesigner” which was not the motion detection system, but, so to say, difference matte system which just outputs difference between consecutive frames. To sum up:
- Is it possible to track skeleton from the top view (maybe I’m missing something)?
- How to trigger events in human presence when there is no skeleton data obtained? It seems that regular IR security cameras can e.g. start recording when human detected, can Kinect act in such a way?
