Hi to everyone!
I’m trying to use my Kinect v2 for my interactive installation but my laptop doesn’t detect it and in the device section the Kinec ist just an audio source; it doesn’t appear under the camera section.
I already controled my USB 3.0, Runtime and different SDK versions and managed the drivers but I still didn’t find a way.
I’m starting to feel a bit frustrated 'cause I don’t know anymore what I could do.
I hope that someone can help me with this issue.
Here some screenshoots about the errors that I have.
As a first thing to check, can you see the camera feeds in the Kinect Viewer that is part of the SDK? The Kinect V2 is notorious for being very picky as to what USB 3 connections it will work on, maybe USB chipset are not compatible. It should be a USB3 Gen2 port to start, and there are more details about the system requirements here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44561
If it works with the SDK viewer, then TouchDesigner can usually connect.
I upload all the screenshot so you have more details, anyway I checked better and my USB ports are 3.2 Gen 1, I was convinced Gen 2: do you think that could be the problem?
I have only the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2.
