Kwave Coder Version 1-1.toe (2.3 MB)

Here we go! Version 1.1 of Kwave Coder is here.
Things to consider:
The back end has been rebuilt to run much more smoothly. With that, there are still some bugs that I’ve been cleaning out because, as you might know, changing something major can disrupt many systems in place. Let me know how it’s running on your end.

Don’t mind the red X in the container. There’s a widget that refreshes a little late. Nothing game breaking, but I’ll quash it later.

How do I use this?
I’ll make some videos in the future. It’s chock full of features. Read the tips section, download the original version and it also has a guide. The most important thing to know is…

Presets: Save parameters
Parameters: Fine tune the parameters that are dragged in
Visual UI: Customize your interface. Boxes do a lot of things here. You can drag panels, items, movies or chops in there.
Wildcards: Use wildcards to affect many of the same type of operators with one slider.

More to come soon.

Limitations: The public version has a limit of the amount of widgets, presets and parameters you can make. It’s enough to make some great things though!

What’s new? You can always check the changes in the news, but here it is since the last update…

3/9 Bug Fixes:

Doing an overhaul of the system turned out to break a lot of things. But the long run is that this will look great forever.

Optimized timing issues that stemmed from the new system.

added a switch to disable the BPM music (it takes some resources so disable if not using it)

Many behind the hood optimizations.

3/7 Bug Fixes:

Whew! This was a massive amount of optimizing the Visual UI and the new process to get everything caught up with the new backend system. I think most of the major VUI bugs have been ironed out today, but there are some small things here and there to iron out. So far so good.

3/6 What’s New?

Bug Fixes:

  • VJ mode broke with the latest version of TD. Fixed!

  • MIDI mapping broke as well. Fixed! Get that Novation Launchcontrol XL for a great time!

3/5

What’s New:

Preset Sliders: Right clicking on the preset sliders will only shift what is unfiltered. So if you want to adjust the radiusX of a circle somewhere between preset 1 and 2, simply filter out everything except radiusx and then right click and slide away!

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed the Manual entry from accidentally firing off when mouse overing low/hi

  • Balanced the font scales when resizing.

3/4

What’s New:

I’ve been rebuilding the UI to enhance the speed of the stagger system and Visual UI. Visual UI and Stagger system weren’t part of the core system and when I went pro (to lock it down), it broke my system. While I built a workaround, it was expensive to run. I’ve been revamping the back end so everything runs much more smoothly. Stay tuned!

2/21

What’s New:

Show/Hide buttons only hide widgets that are in the boxes. It seems to be such an easy fix, but getting this to work took some time. :stuck_out_tongue: It’s funny how something that seems to be a small change can actually be fairly intricate.

2/19

What’s New:

Momentary Buttons can launch presets now! Right click on the momentary buttons and it saves the preset also!

Bug Fixes:

-Many bug fixes. Momentary buttons are smaller. Can assign the names in the button now.

  • Had an issue with Master control renaming it into identical groups. Fixed now.

  • Fixed some copy/paste glitches for Visual UI.

2/18 What’s New

Huge updates in the visual UI…

  • VISUAL UI OPVIEWER

Huge update where you can drag text dats into the boxes of Visual UI. When text dats are dragged in, these text files can be SAVED and LOADED with presets.

Updated the background user interface. All images are now stored locally within this file!

2/17 What’s New?

-The biggest change is an additional feature with boxes. You can now drag operators into the box and it becomes an opviewer. Now set up your favorite comps, chops, tops within a UI. This comes as part of my goal to make the Visual UI the main tool down the line.

  • Auto detect if the parameter is a pulse. If so, when the slider is fully right, it will pulse. Works for Visual UI also.

  • Add titles in the UI more easily

  • Now connect text into the Visual UI as well. Eventually, the Visual UI can control everything and you’ll be able to lock down the back end (ctrl+~)

  • Drag and drop videos and images into boxes. Make it colorful! Get some cool images to spice up your UI.

2/15 What’s New?

Ctrl+U Visual UI optimizations (Beta mode). Ctrl+U is the VJ mode for the visual UI. The regular Visual UI is for contruction of presets while ctrl+u allows you to quickly activate/deactivate boxes.

1-9: Turn on boxes 1-9 like a radio

Left click with 1-9: Turn on 1-9 momentarily.

Middle click with 1-9: Turn on 1-9 like a toggle. Toggle multiple boxes. This is good if you want to have multiple boxes activated at once. use multiple pages to quickly create presets of boxes that are on and off.

Right click with 1-9: Turn to page 1-9. Quick access of presets.

Skinny’ing up the UI so it’s easier with smaller screens. You can make WIDE Uis that are skinny (with a horizontal scrollbar)

2/9 What’s New:

  • VISUAL UI gets alot of improvements!

A new VJ mode. Hold the 1-9 button to activate boxes in the visual ui. move your mouse vertical or horizontal to activate. This makes it easy to quickly switch between boxes! double tap a number to change pages. You can have multiple pages of visual UI setups and quickly cycle through them!

-Parameters can now load big changes more smoothly!

2/3 What’s New:

  • added the ability to control presets with VISUAL UI.

  • UI now has a “MASTER” feature. A master widget not get saved to presets. It stays permanently unless “master” is removed. These two features go hand in hand. You can have preset switching in your Visual UI now!

2/2 What’s New:

  • Drag/drop an image or movie into the VISUAL UI box and it decorates it.

  • Major overhaul of the system so it runs more smoothly. Many “under the hood” optimizations. The ability to change parameters and widget numbers between presets is going to be enhanced with much less lag!

2/1 What’s New

  • Toggle buttons in the blue box now turn on/off when it bypasses the 50% area

  • Momentary buttons in the blue box now turn on/off when you click in the box.
