Leap Motion legacy gestures under v2

Hi,

Have gestures stopped working in the LeapMotion CHOP or am I doing something wrong?

The CHOP appears to be working fine detecting hands, fingers, motion etc under both v4 Orion and v2. Under v2 however it is not detecting any gestures of any kind regardless of how I set the various gestures’ number parameter.

Could this be a driver version issue since gestures are considered a legacy feature? I notice my Leap Motion control panel was set to auto update… Current software version is 4.0.0 +52173 and firmware revision is 1.7.0

I noticed a few threads which mentioned similar issues but no answers were posted.

yup, according to Orion release notes all gestures were killed in drivers v4+

Legacy applications that support Gestures, Motions, Tools, Pointables and Tip Velocity are no longer supported on Orion

Indeed after going back to version 3.2.1 drivers the LeapMotion CHOP now gets the gestures as well.

About a month ago I had a similar question and updated the docs to try and reflect this information. If you check out the API parameter help it now specifies this.
