Learning TouchDesigner

Hi!

I’m in my first year of undergrad at an art university in Canada. I’ve been using TouchDesigner for about half a year now, and I’m looking to improve my skills using the software. The universities here don’t offer programs to help you develop skills using TouchDesigner specifically. However they do offer programs in software engineering, computer graphics, computer programing and coding.

Would it be worth it to take a course in computer programing to help develop my skills in TouchDesigner, or is it better to just spend time following tutorials and becoming familiar with the program as much as possible on my own?
Or maybe both?

Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!!

Next to working though all TD tutorials you like, a beginner course in Python programming could really help you be more efficient in TD, as that is the scripting language used in TD.
