LINE SOP - Fixing Point A + B To a NULL COMP but deforming the middle with audio

Hey Team. I’ve hit a brick wall and wondered if anyone knew a better way to achieve I want! Hopefully you can understand me.

Summary Question: How do you deform the middle of a LINE SOP (either by noise or audio) whilst keeping the top & bottom / [POINT A POINT B] points of the line fixed to NULL COMPs position?

Use Case Example:

I’m following Acrylicode’s tentacle tutorial. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nctS68FkMxs&t=643s&ab_channel=Acrylicode)

What I want: Using their ‘tentacle’ shape I want to create a Flower with a stalk. I want the stalk to wiggle with the music. AND I want the whole flower+stalk to ‘dance’ up and down with the music.

Point A of the LINE SOP (stalk) is fixed to a NULL COMP, so is the centre of the ‘flower’ from the tutorial.
It all works when the flower is static, and when the flower+stalk’s NULL COMP moves in Y or Z .

POTENTIAL ERROR IN THIS METHOD: because I am changing the X of LINE SOP (stalk ) to in wiggle beat with the music, I fixed the start/end points of the audio CHOP so that the top and bottom of the stalk don’t react. Otherwise it would wiggle everywhere.

PROBLEM: I now can’t get POINT A (top of the stalk) to move with the Null comp when I want to make the flower dance. because its fixed to 0 through that audio reaction that I did.

I could also do it with noise+ bounding box on the line… but then I can’t get the bounding box to follow a specific chunk of the line, if the line is moving, right?
Essentially, how can I re-fix point A & B at the end of my nodes chain…

Thanks if anyone can help, i’d be so happy <3 Newbie here.
