Whenever I load a csv file it doesn’t actually separate the file properly. the tab delimited columns just loads into the same column.
I saved this csv from td so would assume it saved it in a way it could read back properly

If it was saved from a TD DAT op, then it’s not technically a CSV (comma separated values) file. Rather it is a TSV (tab separated values).
If you change your extension from CSV to TSV it ought to load properly.
