LOGGED: drag and drop from the internet

As long as we’re wishing, lets wish big.
This is of course given that there isn’t a way to do this already.

Web dat is cool,
but that is more like a fetch to your personal storage area, am I right?

How about just a drag and drop from the internet?
Drag and drop images/audio/movies into Touch from a Google or Bing search.
Still images (at least) should be pretty easy right?

Jim

Hi Jim.
All our file operators do support the http:/ prefix.
Internally it downloads the file into a temporary location.

so you can have a moviein1 with path of:
crazy-frankenstein.com/free-wall … papers.jpg

for example.

Dragging and dropping seems to have mixed results dependent on the browser for me.
Chrome fails to drag anything, while FireFox seems to drag a path to its own temporary image file. “$TMP/dc6ffjy1.bmp” for example.

Work around is to drag it onto desktop, then onto TouchDesigner,
or use the http:/ path directly.

Cheers
Rob

It would be convenient if dropping an html file into the editor would create Web DAT.
