In 2022.24200 Loop Crosfade in Movie File In top is not crossfading the two ends of the movie. Only one of the ends is visible, and is faded out to zero.
I installed 2021.16410, and have no such problem there.

Hey @Gjert
Do you mind taking a screenshot and sharing all your non-default settings on the Movie File In TOP?
Just to make sure we are looking at the same thing.
Thanks,
Michel
Hi @JetXS I’ve uploaded a screenshot from before and during the loop crossfade, and the .toe it was taken from.
The movie goes from frame hundred to starting at frame 41, like it was supposed to.
Hey @Gjert
Two of us here at Derivative tested the file on different machines and in 2021 vs 2022 builds and we are unable to reproduce it.
We see the same result in both builds.
Are you dropping any frames ? What’s your GPU / are drivers up to date ?
Maybe if that helps you could render two full loops from both builds and share them?
Thanks,
Michel
Ok @JetXS I guess this is a local problem. My screencard is a GeForce GTX 1080, and I’m running updated driver (NVIDIA 30.0.15.1296).
Ehrm … how do I render a full loop?
Hey @Gjert
You should be able to render a full loop with a setup like this:
FYI, usually, when we are asking to confirm for driver version, this is the bit we are asking for:
Best,
Michel
@JetXS
Thanks Michael,
I have uploaded a full loop from both versions. The forum upload does not support .mov, so I zipped the files.
NVIDIA driver version is 512.96
The pc is a Acer Predator PT715-51. It should be fully updated.
It is a simple setup, and there is no sign of dropped frames. The program does not look like it is “hanging” anywhere either.

I’ve installed TD build 2022. 24200 on my old desktop, and the problem reproduces it self there. It has a NVIDIA Geforce GTX Titan X screencard.
What hardware vere you testing it on?
I can see in your loops, thanks for those.
If they are all coming from the same file / settings then yes there is clearly an issue.
It could be an issue related to older Nvidia GPUs then… We cannot reproduce on Ampere cards.
I will get a developer to check on some other GPUs.
Thanks,
Michel
Well, what do you know, time flies by. It feels like it was only yesterday I bought this pc
You are welcome, and thank you too!
I have quite a lot of gigs comming up for the comming months, so I will stick with the older version for now, and see if the next version is kinder to us oldies
