When connecting multiple Sliders COMP outlets directly to a Merge CHOP the software crashes.
I learned this during an online class at the Node Institute, the participants using MacOS have experienced this crash.
I don’t have a Mac OS so I cannot replicate the bug. Please try it on your side.
Create 2 or 3 sliders COMP, place a Merge CHOP then multiple select the Sliders outlet and try connecting them to the Merge CHOP.
To temporarily solve the problem we added a Null CHOP after each Sliders’ outlet and then connected the Null CHOPs to the Merge.
We haven’t been able to reproduce this with multiple builds on macOS, so I’m wondering if there’s something specific with the state of the file or the setup. If you know any of the participants experiencing this issue, please have them reach out with a crash report. Or maybe one of them will see this post and contact us.
I couldn’t reach out to the person who had this specific bug, other Mac users they cannot replicate it.
I can send you a simple file with the setup we were building, it’s mainly a Container COMP with Slider COMP children aligned from top to bottom, with some spacing and margins.
