Recently when I use my Macbook Pro to use TD, the facetime camera always shows error. I’ve searched in the forum and find similar problem, their camera shows black scene, but mine shows device is unavailable. Then I downoaded the latest version of Mac, and updated my computer’s system to High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G65), but it still doesn’t work. My camera can be used when I open photobooth or use zoom meeting, and I didn’ t open any app which may use camera when I use TD. In my setting there is no specific setting for camera so I can’t change it.
It’s really a big problem for me because I’m preparing for graduation artwork. Hopes someone help me to solve this problem, thanks a lot!!
Have you checked Camera permissions to make sure TouchDesigner have access? If it does, can you shut down and then restart your mac, and open TouchDesigner as the very first program to see if the error is still there? Do you have any apps that runs in the background and may have locked camera access?
