Mapping TD content

One of the things I find fascinating with TD is the ability to map content made with TD. The cubes shown below were mapped using Kantan mapper (fast and dirty). I would like to know if there is a better technique maybe using camschnappr. To do this I would need to create a UV wrapping with the content. Is there a way to do this? I realize that the fact that the content is 3D complicates matters, but any help would be appreciated.

If you want a good geometry precision of your mapping and/or if you want/need to move your target, camschnapper is the way to go.
