But I think it should be possible to use it with the POPs given via parameters only
Hi @josefpelz,
Not totally sure what you mean?
Currently ther merge POP works without a wired input, with the input POP parameters.
Same for a bunch of others like Blend, Attribute Combine, Math Mix etc
See screenshot.
I do notice the select POP outputs an empty POP without any wired input or input parameter filled, which does seem inconsistent, we’ll review internally, but thinking we would make it error as well.
I’m sorry, I was stupid and tried merging COMPs which had POP outputs. Sorry for the waste of your time.
Oh but it would actually be nice to be able to merge connected inputs with pops referenced via parameters
No worries! otherwise the merge POP lets you do that as well, wired inputs + param inputs, if that’s what you meant.
I see! I didn’t expect the wired input to block one of the input params, now I know that I have to add a new block. Thanks!
Yeah this is something new with POPs, a bunch of others multi input POPs have that behavior where wired inputs disable the first blocks.
Where it can get confusing is for blocks with a wired input, one block is one POP, but you can have multiple POPs in a block when using the input POP(s) parameter.
I see, thanks
