MIDI devices connection check

Hi

I wanna manage midi devices like monitors DAT.

Every time I have to open the MIDI Mapper window.

If possible, I want to check the connection of each midi device by a python script.

If python says alert, I check that device connection.

And touchdesigner can use MIDI over Bluetooth??

Hi meganebu,
Few months back I’ve put together a component that let’s you choose the midi devices from the user interface while in perform mode. Have a look here.

Select MIDI devices from UI

This component allows you to select your MIDI devices from your UI, instead of using the MIDI Device Mapper in the Dialogs. It could be helpful if you want to let your user to select a MIDI device, without having to open the editor network. It’s very basic but it does the job; it might need some tweaking and additional testing. Happy to hear some feedback or possible improvements. UI_MIDI_SELECT.tox (108.5 KB)

This should set you in the right direction, and perhaps you’ll be able to change it to meet your specific needs.

Ps: About midi over Bluetooth in TD, that I don’t know.
